WHISKY & WORDS
Whisky & Words is one of the coolest bars that I have been to in Hong Kong and it counts as one of my favorite bars too. It is small but the space is utilized very well. The location is also great as it is situated just off Hollywood Road in central, Hong Kong.
I also personally love the decor as it is super modern with lots of grays and light - Scandinavian style. I mean Just look at it! Its a wow for me.
Another thing I love about this bar is the music, the music is a mix of r’n’b and hip-hop. So if you are fans of this type of music then this is the spot for you.

In true form to its name - this is a whisky bar and its home to a selection of over 250 different types of whisky. So whisky lovers this bar is for you.
However, for non whisky lovers (like myself) this bar can also be for you too. The cocktail mix of the whisky makes their drinks taste sophisticated but with a hint of modern glam which I like and would make non whisky lovers feel at home. Their cocktail menu offers a range of strong whisky infused cocktails to a sweeter taste of cocktail. Obviously I opted for the glam sweeter taste and it was divine.
See the picture below - I had Whisky & Words cocktail capsule collection - a dram, a cocktail and a capsule. I had the dram first, followed by the capsule and then the cocktail. This was my first experience of trying the cocktail capsule collection and I absolutely loved it. I really enjoyed the fact that this bar made you feel like you were having an experience, it isn’t just a bar with whisky, it is a bar where you can have a new experience. Hence why I gave it top scores of a 10/10.
The Ambience is two fold, on one hand it could be a “pre-party spot before I hit the town kind of” aura but on the other hand it is also a ‘I dont want to go out out kind of vibe but I still want to hit the streets’ its a great balance.
I would definitely go for a date here, as well as out with my friends as well - its the kind of place that I think would suit everyone. I rated it highly because as I said above I love the music, the decor and the staff are amazing, friendly and the service is top notch. The energy this venue creates is right up my street.
Dress code is whatever you fancy - again this is why I believe this bar would suit everyone.
Now the bathrooms - I have to say that although this spot is small the bathroom is probably better than a lot of upscale restaurants I have been to in HK, its covered in shiny brick on the walls and it is super modern and clean. The bathroom style and quality equates to the style and quality of the bar - its good to see the owners did not compromise here.
Overall this is one of my favorite bars in HK and I am and will continue to be a returning customer.
Thus, I would highly recommend whisky and words to all my readers. So do check it out. Word of warning - if you want to go on a Friday night - do go early so you can get a table as it fills up quickly.
